Company to Pay $1.1 Million Fine over Recalled Toys
Henry Gordy International, Inc. has agreed to pay $1.1 million in civil penalties for failing to report a safety hazard and defect in the company’s children’s toy gun dart sets. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the company knew about the safety hazard in May 2006 but a recall was not issued until 2010. There were three deaths caused by the dart sets. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/henry-gordy-agrees-to-1100000-civil-penalty-for-failure-to-report-childrens-toy-dart-gun-sets-131857063/
