EPA Releases Preliminary Finding that Fracking can Impact Water Supplies

The EPA recently released a preliminary report finding pollution from hydraulic fracturing can contaminate groundwater used for human consumption. The initial study is limited to an area in Wyoming, but many believe it is indicative of impacts fracking can have on any water supply. The preliminary report is part of an ongoing investigation by the EPA of fracking’s impact on drinking water resources.
