Hot Coffee – A Look at the Tort Reform Movement in America

Hot Coffee, a documentary film by Susan Saladoff, debuted last night on HBO. It was a fascinating look into how the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and big business used the McDonald’s coffee case to push an agenda of tort reform. The film explored the negative impacts of the tort reform measures of caps on damages, judicial elections and mandatory arbitration clauses. The film is a must watch for all people. Carter Stein
