Increasing Seat Belt Usage Among 8 to 15 Year Olds

As a parent of two young children, I can attest that there is a lot of information about placing newborn, infants and toddlers in child safety restraints. The attached study published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that there is not as much information out there about the need for 8 to 15 year olds to be restrained passengers. https://www.nhtsa.gov/DOT/NHTSA/Traffic%20Injury%20Control/Articles/Associated%20Files/810965.pdfIt is interesting and alarming to see the dip in restrained passengers from infants and toddlers to children and tweens. We at McMath Woods encourage everyone to buckle up and be safe.
